System Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance
- Implement and maintain strategies for backup, security, and redundancy
- Identify issues and implement solutions proactively
- Utilize containers for deployment, scaling, and management of services
- Maintain authentication and authorization services
- Build new Virtual Machines and bare-metal servers using templates and ISOs.
- Create new server templates with STIG and DISA guidelines.
- Developing automation for the purpose of managing, monitoring, or reporting on systems
- Create and update operations and maintenance documentation
- Support operations across multiple geographic locations.
- Develop solutions to complex technical issues.
- Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for Root Cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Solid command-line Linux skills
- Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or Podman a plus
- Beneficial having experience with Jenkins, Ansible or other automation tools
- Beneficial having experience with relational, document, and object databases
- Ability to knowledge-share with other operations and development resources
- Experience with automation, continuous integration and delivery, monitoring and alerting.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker Compose.
- Experience with service discovery tools such as Consul, etc and ZooKeeper.
- Experience with log aggregation tools such as Splunk and the ELK stack.
- Experience with metric tools such as InfluxDB, Grafana, Prometheus, and Nagios.
- Experience with Linux scripting languages.
- Experience with managing Linux based operating systems such as Ubuntu and CentOS.
- Experience with site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, and Nagios.
- Passion for software development is a bonus.
- Aptitude for learning. New projects, new teams, new technologies mean having to adjust and learn all the time. If you don’t want to grow and learn, we’re not a fit.
