Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021 Kickoff

For the month of October, Wildcard will be participating as a Cybersecurity Champion in Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021.

According to the National Cyber Security Alliance, “an estimated $6 trillion will be spent globally on cybersecurity by 2021.” With investors putting trillions of dollars into cybersecurity, why should we be concerned? Won’t the incident response teams your company hired and antivirus software installed onto your computer cover the need for cybersecurity education? 

It won’t. That’s the thing about cybersecurity - it’s everyone’s job. From the newest intern to the head of operations in a company, without cybersecurity training, everyone is susceptible to attacks. 

 

What is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?

At Wildcard, the month of October is an opportunity for our company to promote cybersecurity awareness for all! Cybersecurity is at the heart of our mission as well as the forefront of our operations. 

Cybersecurity Awareness Month was created as a campaign to ensure that everyone has the resources needed to stay safe online. This effort is going on its 18th year as individuals, organizations, and companies across the country work together to spread awareness. The National Cyber Security Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency co-lead the month-long campaign.

Wildcard Corp. is proud to announce its sixth year of participation as a Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion. We joined hundreds of organizations of all sizes and industries that look to promote cybersecurity to create a safer (and secure) online environment for all. 

As a Champion, we look forward to promoting this year’s theme of Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart. Throughout the entire month, we will be sharing blog posts, videos, and other content to help further understanding of basic cybersecurity and how individuals and organizations alike fit into these skills.

  • Week of October 18 (Week 3): Explore. Experience. Share. (Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week)
  • Week of October 25 (Week 4): Cybersecurity First
